~ Create your legacy. Tell your story.
Feel supported as you move with the current, carried gently by your River's Return.
I'm Jerri-lyn, the heart of Rivers Return.
I am a settler on the Unceded Traditional Territory of the
K'omoks First Nation, on Vancouver Island.
I draw from a foundation in positive psychology, non-violent communication, and conflict resolution.
I value holding brave spaces and an empathetic ear while serving as an objective, supportive guide during times of transition.
As an end-of-life doula in training, my passion is to serve those preparing for the moment when the river meets the sea.

A doula is...
a companion, not a clinician;
a witness, not a fixer;
a guide, not an authority.
A doula will not...
provide clinical care, medical advice, legal advice or sign legal documents.
My Inspiration
Eight year old me, a quiet witness to the pain of losing loved ones. I watched, confused, as families fractured in the face of grief — connections lost, words left unsaid.
Those early experiences stayed with me. After a death, loved ones navigate not just sorrow, but uncertainty and conflict. I believe that preparation is one of the greatest gifts we can offer those who care for us.
When we take the time to plan, we create space — for connection, for presence, and for celebration.
With gratitude, I acknowledge the welcome and support I receive from Comox Valley Community Deathcare.
